Expatriates in Bangalore | Global Adjustments - Premier Provider of Relocation, Realty & Cross Cultural Services

This was one of the few article of us as a family that I found online. Cool huh?
We enjoyed ourselves in Bangalore, India and miss our frequent travels, the colours, the people whom we met, our friends and the overall chaos of the City!

YouTube - Video Interview: Michael Weyrich on CAM/CNC

This is an interview of Michael at a very important conference a few years ago. He's a bit tipsy after having one too many glasses of champagne to celebrate his success! To top it off, he had just flown in and was still jetlagged.

Leek quiche

Obviously, my leek quiche has been a hit many a time though I am e personally rather embarrassed about it. I make it so often only because it is so simple and is done in a wink of an eye.
Leek Quiche à la Raji
filo pastry
6 medium-size leek
100g ham or bacon bits (optional)
1/2 litre cream
3 small eggs
100g shredded cheese
salt and pepper to taste (careful if already adding ham or bacon)

Line quiche/baking tray, dish or pan with filo pasty (pie crusts) sheet. Depending on the size of your dish 2 sheets might be needed.
Wash and chop 6 medium-size leek. Dry with paper towels and set aside. In a pan, add 100g chopped  ham or bacon and saute till crisp. Throw in chopped and drained leek and saute till soft. Set aside to cool.
In a bowl, whisk eggs cream and cheese and set aside. Add a sprinkle of nutmeg and cumin to give flavour.
Fill lined dish with cooled leek and ham/bacon mixture, pour in egg mixture and bake for 30 min in a pre-heated oven at 180°C.
Best eaten when warm. Serve with white wine.

Enjoy.

Lucas' 13th

Weekend fun
Lucas '09, couple of months
before his 13th Birthday.

What fun with 5 boys who blatantly refused to sleep. Electronical games and gadgets were the highlight of the evening, night and morning. None of them cared for my carefully planned grilled meat platter, cheese nor cut vegies and fruit.
Breakfast was a tedious affair for the lot. Seemed more like a chore to eat especially after having had no time to waste on sleep; hands and fingers stiff due to remaining in a particular position too long; dazed looks and red-eyes. Next year, I'll simply move to a hotel and leave them to their vices.
All in all, the Prodigal Son was happy. (February, 2010)
